Ms. Leslie Errington is a seasoned technology executive, founder, and passionate advocate for caregivers and women in business. With over 20 years of experience leading sales, partnerships, and business development in high-growth software companies, Leslie has built and led teams focused on delivering enterprise solutions to healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical clients. Her work spans startups and global firms, including leadership roles in AI, emotional analytics, and digital health platforms, where she has helped drive innovation at the intersection of advanced technologies and human health. In 2024, Leslie shifted her professional focus to the social impact space, dedicating herself to the caregiving crisis and gender equity in the workforce. She is the Founder and CEO of Vital Ally, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit health tech platform supporting the over 53 million family caregivers in the U.S.—with a particular focus on underserved and socioeconomically challenged families. The platform, rooted in the caregiving system Leslie developed while caring for her mother with Alzheimer’s, offers digital tools to help families coordinate care, stay emotionally connected, and prevent burnout. She is currently leading Vital Ally through its beta launch and MVP development while spearheading fundraising and strategic partnerships. Leslie serves on two mission-aligned boards: the Executive Leadership Team for the Alzheimer’s Association’s San Francisco Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and as the Northern California Chapter Chair for The WIT Network, where she builds community and career advancement opportunities for women in technology. Known for her ability to build relationships, drive adoption of emerging technologies, and lead with empathy, Leslie brings together commercial strategy and human-centered design. While she is newly focused on social impact work, she draws from her deep background in enterprise tech, startup mentoring, and AI innovation to shape solutions that serve families and communities. Leslie lives in San Francisco with her husband Tom and their two young adult children, Annabelle and Max. Outside of work, she finds fun in snowboarding, hiking, running, and supporting causes that uplift caregivers and women in leadership.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

At every stage of my career—whether in enterprise tech, startup ventures, or nonprofit leadership—I’ve found success by focusing on service. When you lead with a genuine desire to help others, everything else follows: stronger relationships, better outcomes, and meaningful impact. Serving others is the core of how I lead and live.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

“Don’t wait to be invited—make your own seat at the table.” That advice shifted my mindset early in my career and gave me the confidence to lead with purpose, even when I didn’t have all the answers. It’s helped me show up authentically, take initiative, and trust my own voice.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find a mentor—and when you do, come prepared. Every conversation is a chance to grow, so show up with curiosity and thoughtful questions. Relationships built on mutual respect and consistency will accelerate your learning and open doors you didn’t know existed.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In nonprofit health tech, the biggest challenge is also the biggest opportunity: finding aligned funding and partners who understand that caregiver support is not a “soft issue”—it’s a national health, workforce, and equity imperative. We need to shift the narrative and invest in scalable, inclusive solutions.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I live and lead by three core values: • Abundance – I believe in giving freely: ideas, time, and care. There’s enough for all of us. • Integrity – I strive to do what’s right, even when it’s hard or unseen. • Growth – I seek opportunities to learn, evolve, and lift others as I climb. These values are my compass in everything—from building partnerships to raising two incredible young adults with my husband, Tom.
